FRESH NATURAL TASTE
Since we are pet parents ourselves, we have created the precise formula to support pets' key body functions for a healthy life.
Purified Water: Reverse osmosis system eliminates bacteria, mold and yeast from the water. Although reverse osmosis removes the natural minerals from the water, we have replaced them with select vitamins and minerals.
Natural Flavoring: Although our waters taste more like plain water with slight vitamin influences (pets only have 1/6 the tasting power of humans), there is all natural flavoring in the water.
Biotin (Vitamin B7): Cats need this for healthy thyroid and adrenal glands and for a healthy reproductive tract. Adding this to your dogs diet improves their skin, coat and paws.
D-Calcium Pantothenate (Vitamin B5): Converts food to energy, building red blood cells, making bile, and synthesizing fats, adrenal gland steroids, antibodies, acetylcholine and other neurotransmitters. Reduces skin inflammations, speeds wound healing and abrasions.
Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C): Findings suggest that although cats and dogs can manufacture endogenous ascorbic acid, the amount produced in some pets may not be sufficient to prevent or counteract stresses associated with aging, injury or joint mal-positioning. Dogs and cats may sometimes require additional amounts to bolster normal joint function or support the immune system.
Citric Acid: It's a weak organic acid that exists in a variety of fruits and vegetables. It's also a natural additive used to enhance flavouring in food and beverages. Finally, it asists with keeping your pets urine Ph lower (acidic) to promote a healthy unrinary tract system.
Potassium Chloride (Electrolyte): A mineral that is found naturally in foods and is necessary for many normal functions of the body, especially beating of the heart. It's used to prevent or to treat a potassium deficiency. It participates in many functions, including cell membrane homeostasis, nerve impulses conduction, muscle contraction and normal kidney function.
Taurine: A chronic deficiency of taurine in cats causes a progressive degeneration of the retina, leading to total blindness within two years. Taurine represents 50 % of the free amino acids in the cardiac muscle. Since 1987 a relationship has been established between taurine deficiency in the diet and the occurrence of specific cardiac troubles for cats and dogs. Cats with this deficiency can have multiple reproductive problems: lack of fertility, fetal resorptions, abortions, abnormalities in new-born kittens, and growth diseases in kittens. Taurine supplementation will not hurt your pet.
Potassium Citrate: By taking potassium citrate orally, citrate levels increase in the urine. Calcium binds to citrate instead of to oxalate which is desirable because calcium citrate tends to stay dissolved whereas calcium oxalate tends to precipitate out as mineral deposit. Potassium citrate also helps create an alkaline urine (in which calcium oxalate stones have difficulty forming). Please note, BECAUSE CALCIUM OXALATE STONES CANNOT BE DISSOLVED BY DIET CHANGE, SURGICAL REMOVAL OF THE STONES IS USUALLY NECESSARY. STUDIES HAVE SHOWN THAT 50% OF DOGS THAT HAVE UNDERGONE SUCH SURGERY WILL DEVELOP NEW CALCIUM OXALATE STONES WITHIN THREE YEARS. Potassium Citrate has similar benefits for cats.
Calcium Lactate: Calcium is essential for various body functions beyond bone mineralization; including muscle contraction, nerve conduction, maintenance and function of cell membranes and membrane permeability, blood coagulation, and the proper functioning of many enzyme systems. Calcium Lactate contains the proper balance of calcium and magnesium (5:1 ratio). It is phosphorous free and great for the body functions of dogs and cats.
