A healthy pet is a happy pet. At MolliBrands, Inc.™, we are invested in the health and wellness of cats and dogs. In addition to giving your pet Molli's Choice Premium Waters, here are some health tips to add to the wellbeing of your four-legged best friend.
To address the problem of over-population, properly spay/neuter your pets when they
are 6-8 months old. Neutering males will prevent them from fighting and wandering, spraying urine, spreading infectious diseases and prostate problems. Spaying prevents females
from going into heat, and mammary and uterine cancer. Ask your
Veterinarian about sterilization.

FOR DOGS
- Grooming is essential to keep your dog looking and feeling great. It removes debris from their paws and coat and reduces shedding. Daily grooming also allows for quality time with your dog and strengthens the bond between you and your pet.
- Closely monitor your dog's coat for fleas and ticks during the spring and summer months. If ignored, these parasites can cause sores, infections and tapeworms. Ask your Veterinarian for a recommended insecticide treatment for your dog and its environment.
- Always travel with your dog in an approved carrier. Never leave your dog unattended in a car, even with the window cracked open or parked in the shade, because there is a risk of heat stroke. Some state laws mandate carriers or proper strapping when traveling with your dog in a car.
- Keep your dog healthy with a game of fetch, tag or Frisbee. Walk or jog with your dog and you both get a great workout.
- Provide your dog with natural teeth cleaning by giving them bone treats and hard vegetables like red peppers, corn on the cob, green beans and carrots.

FOR CATS
- Provide your cat clean fresh water daily. Encouraging them to drink more water helps ensure proper kidney function, reduces the risk of dehydration, and may decrease crystal formation and Urinary Tract Infections.
- Providing a clean litter box for your cat will reduce infectious diseases, odor and dirty litter on fur and paws.
- Keeping the toilet seats closed in your home reduces a cat's exposure to toxics like chlorine and other ingredients in cleansers. Cats will sometimes seek other places to drink water other than where the Pet Parent designates.
- Cats often groom themselves to stay clean but loose fur gets swallowed and can cause stomach and intestinal problems. Properly combing or brushing your cat regularly will remove loose fur and debris.
- Providing a scratching post or board allows your cat to trim and get rid of outer layers of its claws. This also reduces the possible destruction of furniture in your home. Ask your Veterinarian for proper clipping methods.
